The Odisha Vigilance department launched a massive crackdown Tuesday on Subrat Kumar Behera, a Junior Assistant at the Angul CDMO office, over allegations of embezzling ₹2.38 crore in government funds.

Coordinated raids are currently underway at five strategic locations across Angul, Dhenkanal, and Bhubaneswar. The operation, led by a high-level team of 5 DSPs, 8 Inspectors, and 14 ASIs, targeted:

Behera’s three-storey residence in Hakimpada, Angul.

His ancestral home in Dhenkanal and a relative's house near NALCO Nagar.

A rented property in Srivihar, Bhubaneswar, and his official desk at the CDMO office.

The department initiated the action following specific intelligence regarding the misappropriation of public money. Officials are currently scrutinizing financial documents, property deeds, and bank lockers to trace the siphoned funds. The raid has sent shockwaves through the district administration as investigators work to uncover the full scale of the financial irregularities.
