The state health department issued a major reshuffle on Sunday, pivoting leadership across premier medical institutions. Dr. Pratibha Panda, formerly the Dean and Principal of PRM Medical College in Baripada, has been appointed as the new Dean and Principal of SCB Medical College, Cuttack.
She succeeds Dr. Lucy Das, who moves to a Professor role in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) department at SCB while continuing her work in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Filling the vacancy at PRM Medical College is Dr. Nirmal Chandra Mohapatra, previously the Head of Orthopaedics at SCB.
Additionally, the administrative wing of SCB MCH sees a new head with Dr. Jyotish Chandra Chowdhury, Head of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, stepping in as the Superintendent.
These strategic appointments aim to streamline clinical operations and academic excellence across the state’s top-tier healthcare facilities.
