BJP State President Manmohan Samal has ruled out any possibility of expansion of the Odisha cabinet, stating that there have been no discussions on the matter. Samal made these remarks after returning from a visit to New Delhi, where he held meetings with party leaders.
- Cabinet Expansion: Samal clarified that there are no plans to expand the state cabinet at present, and no discussions have taken place in Delhi regarding the same.
- Corporation Posts: However, Samal assured that the Corporation posts will be filled soon, and the party is working on filling these positions.
- New Committee: A new committee will be formed in the state BJP as per the constitutional procedure, which will include both old and new faces, with 25% new members.
- Meetings: A meeting is scheduled at the state BJP office to discuss various issues, and continuous meetings will be held under the leadership of the in-charge.
- Opposition's Right: Samal stated that the opposition has the right to bring a no-confidence motion, and if it comes, the BJP is ready to face it.
- BJD's Support: He added that if the Congress brings the motion, the BJD is likely to support it.
- Courtesy Meeting: Samal held a courtesy meeting with the President during his visit to Delhi.
- Visit to Balanga Patient's Family: He also met the family of a minor girl from Balanga and discussed her treatment at AIIMS, ensuring that she receives the best care possible.
