The Odia film industry is in shock as renowned playback singer Geeta Patnaik battles for her life in the ICU of a private hospital in Cuttack. The veteran artist fell ill while on stage at a literary event in Bhubaneswar last night.
Initially rushed to Capital Hospital, medical examinations confirmed she suffered a brain stroke. Due to her deteriorating condition, she was immediately shifted for specialized care.
