The mastermind behind the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam paper leak case, Shankar Prusty, and Silicon Tech Private Limited owner Suresh Nayak, have been sent to jail after their bail was rejected by the Berhampur JMFC Rural Court.
Prusty, who was arrested from the India-Nepal border, is believed to have played a key role in the multi-crore scam. The Crime Branch had been tracking him, and his arrest has led to revelations of a deal worth approximately Rs 1,000 crore.
The investigation is ongoing, with the Crime Branch taking Prusty's associates into remand for further questioning.
The scam is believed to have involved large-scale manipulation, with several candidates and middlemen allegedly involved.
