Odisha is currently under a "Yellow Warning" as a relentless heatwave grips the state. The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) predicts temperatures will soar further over the next three days, with the Twin Cities (Bhubaneswar and Cuttack) potentially crossing a blistering 45°C.

The government has activated emergency protocols to combat the heatwave. A strict advisory—and for many sectors, a mandate—prohibits outdoor labor between 11 AM and 3 PM to prevent heatstroke.

Citizens are urged to stay indoors during these peak hours, keep hydrated with plenty of water or ORS, and wear light, breathable clothing.

With the heat becoming dangerous even by 8 AM, commuters and outdoor workers are at high risk. Authorities emphasize the need for constant vigilance and immediate medical attention if symptoms like dizziness or nausea occur.

Stay cool, stay safe, and prioritize hydration as the state battles this record-breaking summer.
