In a landmark move toward economic self-reliance, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi laid the foundation stones and inaugurated 36 industrial projects worth ₹40,811 crore at Bhuinpur, Khurda.
This massive undertaking is set to generate over 59,000 jobs, marking a pivotal chapter in what the Chief Minister describes as Odisha’s "Second Industrial Revolution."
The diverse portfolio spans critical sectors, including:
Green Energy & Defense Manufacturing
IT, Automobiles, and Metal Downstream
Textiles, Agriculture, and Food Processing
"Odisha is no longer just a state of possibilities; it is experiencing the touch of prosperity," CM Majhi stated, emphasizing the shift from promises to tangible implementation. Over the last 20 months, the government has launched 109 projects totaling ₹2.5 lakh crore, creating nearly 176,000 jobs.
The state is prioritizing "economic growth with Odia identity," allocating 6.5% of its GDP (over ₹72,000 crore) to infrastructure.
During a roundtable with national and global industrialists, the CM assured a seamless "plug-and-play" environment with guaranteed land, water, and power, offering direct access to his office for troubleshooting.
Industries Minister Sampada Chandra Swain and other dignitaries noted that these projects would transform Odisha from an importer to a global manufacturing hub.
With a 10-year "visionary window" leading to 2036, Odisha is firmly positioning its economy to integrate with the global market, ensuring a self-reliant and prosperous future for its people.
