A terrifying Tuesday morning commute turned into a disaster when a private passenger bus, named 'Baby', overturned near Khedpada on the Nayagarh-Khandpada road.
The accident, which occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle, left more than 20 passengers seriously injured.
The bus was en route from Rakma to Nayagarh, carrying approximately 50 passengers at the time of the crash. The vehicle veered off the road and flipped onto its side, sparking immediate panic.
Demonstrating quick thinking, local residents rushed to the scene to launch a rescue operation while alerting the police.
Emergency responders transported the victims to a nearby medical center for urgent care. While many passengers required intensive treatment for their injuries, several others were discharged after receiving primary medical aid.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash as the community recovers from the shock of this near-fatal mishap.
