In observance of Chaitra Krushna Shashti Tithi, the sacred and secret Khasapada Niti of Shrijiu will be performed today at the Puri Temple. Following the noon incense, the Rahala Tapati Sevaks will ascend the Ratnasinhasan to conduct this four-hour ritual, which involves draping the deities in white cloth to protect their sanctity.
As this is a private ceremony, general darshan will be restricted from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This essential preparation occurs only a few times a year, serving as a vital precursor to major upcoming events like Devsnan Purnima and the Ratha Yatra.
The temple administration has confirmed that regular rituals and public viewing will resume immediately after the Niti concludes. Devotees are advised to plan their visit accordingly as the temple honors these ancient traditions.
