The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) celebrated its foundation day alongside Vijayadashami with traditional grandeur at its headquarters in Nagpur on Tuesday. The event was graced by Dainik Jagran Editor-in-Chief Sanjay Gupta as the chief guest, alongside RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The celebrations commenced with traditional Shastra Puja (worship of weapons) performed by Mohan Bhagwat. Later, Bhagwat and Sanjay Gupta paid floral tributes to Sangh founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and Shri Guruji at the Smruti Mandir memorial site.
Addressing the gathering, Mohan Bhagwat highlighted the 'Panch Parivartan'—social harmony, family enlightenment, environmental awareness, Swadeshi consciousness, and civic discipline. He noted that these principles are designed as a sustainable way of life rather than a short-term program.
Expressing deep concern over youth welfare, Bhagwat cautioned against the unguided consumption of digital content and urged the government and administration to examine regulations on OTT platforms. He also flagged substance abuse as a critical national crisis, stressing that timely interventions by authorities and conscious parenting are vital to instill discernment in the younger generation.
