A fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal around October 24, preceded by a cyclonic circulation active over the Andaman Sea.   Meanwhile, under the influence of an upper-air cyclonic circulation, the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a 'Yellow Warning' for Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.

These districts face a forecast of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over the next 24 hours.Uncertainty continues regarding the system's eventual intensification into a depression or a cyclone, as various global weather models offer conflicting tracks and intensity projections.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that it is closely monitoring the evolving atmospheric conditions. At present, no depression or definitive cyclone alert has been officially declared, though independent meteorological models estimate a potential system development toward the end of October. Greater clarity is expected once the low-pressure system consolidates in the coming days.
