Over 1.23 lakh women across the state are set to receive their long-awaited Subhadra Yojana funds today. Deputy Chief Minister Parvathi Parida confirmed that the installment is being directly credited to the bank accounts of 1,23,849 beneficiaries who were previously excluded due to verification and technical hurdles.

These women had missed the initial disbursement on March 8 (Women's Day). Following a successful re-verification process, they have now been cleared as eligible, bringing significant relief to thousands of households.

The Subhadra Yojana, which supports women aged 21 to 60, remains a cornerstone of the government’s commitment to financial independence. Notably, starting in the 2026-27 financial year, the payout structure has been revised; beneficiaries will now receive Rs 10,000 annually in two installments, transitioning from the previous model of Rs 5,000 provided in four tranches.

This financial support is a strategic effort to bolster the self-respect and economic freedom of women. For many, this deposit represents more than just money—it is a symbol of empowerment and a promising step toward greater financial security.
