In a swift crackdown on exploitation, Shrimandir’s Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. Arvind Padhee, has suspended Chhatar Sevak Ranjit Kar for allegedly defrauding a devotee.

Kar has been barred from entering the temple premises for six months following the discovery of a fake receipt scam.

The incident unfolded when a devotee from Hyderabad, seeking to offer 14 "elephant flags", was issued a fraudulent receipt by the servitor.

The scam came to light when the devotee presented the document to the temple office, only for supervisors to identify it as a counterfeit.

The temple administration’s decisive action reinforces its "zero tolerance" policy toward harassment and financial malpractice. By enforcing this strict suspension, officials aim to safeguard the sanctity of the shrine and ensure that pilgrims are not misled by unauthorized intermediaries.

The administration urged devotees to use only official channels for all ritual-related contributions.
