Boudh city’s Agarwala Bhawan recently hosted District Veterinary Day, organized by the Fisheries and Livestock Development Department. Chaired by Additional District Magistrate Anirudh Padhan, the event gathered over 100 stakeholders, including veterinarians, "gomitras," and animal lovers.
Key speakers, including CDO Prabhas Chandra Dandasana and Deputy Director Dr. Subhendu Shekhar Sahu, emphasized the vital role of veterinarians in disease control and balanced food production.
Officials urged local farmers to leverage government schemes to boost the production of milk, meat, and eggs, highlighting these sectors as primary drivers for increasing rural income.
The seminar served as both an educational hub for grassroots livestock schemes and a platform to honor the district's veterinary professionals. The day concluded with a formal felicitation of all attending veterinarians, recognizing their dedication to animal welfare and public health.
