In a firm move toward administrative accountability, District Election Officer Chanchal Rana has suspended an assistant teacher for dereliction of duty.

Rashmi Sahu, a faculty member at Chandrasekharpur Phase-2 High School, faced the disciplinary action following an investigation into her performance as a Booth Level Officer (BLO).

Sahu was specifically assigned to critical SIR (Summary Internal Revision) work. However, after verified allegations of negligence surfaced, the District Election Officer invoked Section 32 (1) of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, to formalize her suspension.

This crackdown serves as a stern warning to all personnel drafted for election-related duties.

With the electoral process demanding high precision and dedication, officials have signaled that any lapse in responsibility will met with immediate legal and professional consequences.
