An emotional moment unfolded today at the BJP's road show in Nuapada as candidate Jay Dholakia broke down in tears on stage during Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi's address.
The distress began when the Chief Minister targeted the BJD, questioning why they brought an "Atabira" candidate, in reference to BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik previously calling Jay Dholakia a "son of dishonest man." Majhi criticized Patnaik's statement, suggesting it was based on a script and that he didn't know the meaning of dishonest man.
Overcome by emotion, Dholakia cried profusely. CM Majhi immediately paused his speech to embrace and console the candidate, creating a visibly moving scene on stage.
The rally, held at Komna Garden Bandh, saw the participation of BJP President Manmohan Samal and Deputy CM KV Singhdeo.
The political intensity is high, with BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik scheduled to hold his own road show in Nuapada tomorrow.
