A constable of the Odisha Auxiliary Police Force (OPF), identified as Gauri Prasad Tadingi, was found dead under suspicious circumstances this morning.
His body was recovered from a cotton field on the Patramahal and Jamadeipentha road in Rayagada block.
According to reports, Gauri Prasad was returning home after completing his duty yesterday when his body was discovered near Pitamahal.
Upon receiving the information, Warakhal police immediately arrived at the scene and recovered the body.
Rayagada SDPO Gourahari Sahu confirmed that police are investigating the incident. The constable's body has been sent for a post-mortem, which the SDPO stated will clarify the cause of death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
