The expanded infrastructure of Cuttack's Sriram Chandra Bhanja (SCB) Medical College and Hospital is slated for inauguration this December, with operations beginning in January 2027. The decision came during a high-level review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister at Lok Seva Bhawan.
Project Scope: Construction includes four new clinical blocks and one residential block to transform the hospital into a universal healthcare center.
Current Status: Roughly 70% of the new building work is complete, making the December deadline a major race against time for officials.
Surrounding Development: Plans also feature beautification along both sides of the Taladanda Canal, wide access roads, multi-car parking, and a traffic corridor.
Once operational, this expanded state-of-the-art facility will significantly boost advanced medical care access for thousands of patients across Odisha.
