Heavy incessant rains have triggered severe floods across North Odisha, affecting lakhs of residents. In response, the regional meteorological department has issued a red warning for Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar districts for today and tomorrow.
The state government has placed district collectors on high alert and deployed senior IAS officers to oversee relief and monitoring operations:
