Odisha has taken a major leap toward digital governance by training all 73,543 Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) on the Poshan Tracker portal. Announced by Union Minister of State Savitri Thakur, this initiative modernizes grassroots childcare.
Developed under Mission Sahay Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, the ICT-based tool allows workers to digitally manage beneficiary data and monitor real-time indicators like child nutrition, growth, and early childhood education.
To ensure seamless adoption, the Digital India Corporation (DIC) conducts daily digital skill sessions via video conferencing (Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 4 PM) through district coordinators. Additionally, the state government integrates 32 days of job-based ICDS training, featuring 6 hours of dedicated digital literacy.
