Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today spearheaded a significant push for governance and development, distributing appointment letters to 591 newly recruited officials at the 13th recruitment fair held at OUAT Odisha Krishi Sadan.


The new recruits, comprising 252 for Water Resources, 197 for Public Works, and 142 for Housing and Urban Development Departments, were congratulated by the CM. Majhi emphasized the state government's commitment to fulfilling its promises, noting that 37,916 people have received employment since the new government took charge.


Further reinforcing the development agenda, the Chief Minister inaugurated a new irrigation project worth Rs 425 crore and laid the foundation stone for schemes valued at Rs 2,063 crore, totaling Rs 2,488 crore in new projects.


CM Majhi stated that Odisha aims to be the center of development for East India, setting a target of 1.5 lakh employment in five years, with 65,000 in the first two years. This surge in human resources is expected to accelerate government operations and budget expenditure.
