Bhubaneswar’s Capital Hospital is under fire following the tragic death of 11-year-old Sai, allegedly due to medical negligence.

The young boy, from Khordha's Chandpur, was admitted after a minor bicycle accident but died shortly after. His grieving family claims a wrong injection administered by the staff proved fatal.

The hospital turned into a scene of chaos as relatives staged a massive protest at the post-mortem ward, demanding immediate action against the treating doctor and nurse. Heavy police deployment was required to manage the mounting tension, while hospital authorities have yet to issue an official response.

This incident marks a grim repetition of a similar tragedy last year, where a 3-year-old also died at the same facility due to an alleged wrong injection, leading to a ₹4 lakh compensation payout.

This recurring pattern of "gross negligence" has sparked serious public outcry regarding the safety and quality of care at the state’s premier government medical center.
