He hailed the Navy as an "indomitable force of the sea," adding that their professional skills and dedication are a source of inspiration, and expressed pride in the sailors protecting India's maritime interests.
Navy Day is celebrated annually to commemorate the Navy's success in the 1971 war against Pakistan. Various events are being held across the country, including a colorful display of warships and aircraft scheduled at Shangumughan in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
