BHUBANESWAR: The Ekamra Project is set to be expedited to meet a deadline before Mahashivaratri, with emergency work planned for immediate completion, according to Ekamra MLA Babu Singh.
Due to delays by the previous contractor, a new tender will be issued within 15 days to award the remaining work. Key tasks planned for urgent completion include the construction of parking lots, installation of lighting around the temple, and cleaning of the Bindusagar pond.
Public Works Minister Prithvi Raj Harichandan reviewed the project and directed officials to ensure completion before the festival. A meeting held at Lok Seva Bhavan discussed the beautification of the Bindusagar area, temple reconstruction, and accelerating the remaining land acquisition process for the heritage conservation plan.
