Odisha’s infrastructure is set for a massive overhaul following the Central Government’s approval of ₹769 crore for 10 pivotal road and flyover projects under the CRIF scheme (2026-27). Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi lauded the move, noting its potential to revolutionize connectivity from coastal belts to remote interiors.

The urban landscape of Berhampur will see the biggest transformation with two major flyovers: a ₹146 crore stretch from Tata Benz Chowk to MKCG and a ₹168 crore bridge from Giri Road to the Old Bus Stand.

Other key projects include vital road widening and strengthening in Koraput, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Nuapada, and a mega upgrade of the Jaleswar-Chandaneswar road in Balasore.

These projects are more than just asphalt; they are economic engines expected to bridge gaps in healthcare, tourism, and trade, ushering in a new era of growth for thousands of citizens.
