President Droupadi Murmu’s upcoming three-day visit to Odisha, originally scheduled to begin on November 3, has been cancelled. This marks the second consecutive postponement of her itinerary to the state in recent days.
According to the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Rairangpur, preparations were already underway in the Mayurbhanj district for her arrival, which included various official programs and a visit to her home region.
This latest cancellation follows the postponement of an earlier two-day trip slated for October 28, which was called off due to adverse weather conditions from Cyclone 'Arnab' and associated security concerns.
Official announcements from the President's Secretariat and the state administration regarding rescheduled dates are currently awaited.
