The Dakshin Moda (southward turning) of the three holy chariots—Taladhwaj, Darpadalan (Devadalan), and Nandighosha—parked at Sharadhabali was successfully completed on Wednesday. All three chariots will now undergo thorough inspection.

Due to heavy rain and late evening hours yesterday, only the Darpadalan Rath could be turned toward the Mukha of Shrimandir. On Wednesday, the south turning resumed with the Taladhwaj Rath, which devotees pulled to the Nakachana Gate, followed by the Nandighosha Rath. Despite wet sand and heavy downpours making the maneuver challenging, thousands of devotees and police personnel pulled the majestic chariots to the traditional chanting and sound of gongs.

Reversing the usual Rath Yatra order—where Taladhwaj leads—the Dakshin Moda tradition requires Darpadalan to be turned first, followed by Taladhwaj, and finally Nandighosha, positioning them strategically at the Nakachana Gate of Gundicha Temple for the return journey.
