The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched simultaneous raids at 12 locations across Odisha and West Bengal as part of a money laundering probe into the Police Sub-Inspector recruitment exam irregularities.
The searches target premises linked to Silicon Tech Lab, Panchsoft Technology, and PSIL International. Investigators are analyzing crucial documents and electronic devices to trace financial transactions allegedly involving middlemen who charged candidates Rs 15 lakh to Rs 30 lakh for leaked question papers.
This follows earlier ED raids on October 9 across 10 locations in Odisha and Kolkata, targeting key figures including broker Muna Mohanty, Panchsoft Director Shankar Prusti, and Silicon Techlab Managing Director Suresh Nayak. Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is pursuing a parallel probe into the recruitment corruption.
