Following the fire at Satyavihar's "No Limit" Sky and Lounge, multiple allegations have surfaced regarding the bar's illegal operation. Local residents claim the establishment was an unlicensed hookah bar, open until midnight, often leading to fights among intoxicated customers. The Excise Department confirmed that no license had been issued for the bar.
Fire Officers Ramesh Majhi and Narayan Das reported that the fire started around 9 am, confirming the lack of any fire extinguishing system.
However, the bar owner refuted these claims, asserting the fire originated from an AC unit in a hotel below and spread upwards. The owner insisted that fire safety measures were in place and alleged the fire brigade arrived late. A thorough investigation is expected to reveal the true cause and compliance status.
