Odia music lovers are in shock following the untimely demise of popular vocalist Humane Sagar, who passed away on Monday night at the age of 36. The renowned singer breathed his last at 9:08 pm while undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.

Humane Sagar had been critically ill for several days with severe liver and kidney issues, compounded by respiratory problems and conditions like hepatopathy, thrombocytopenia, and coagulopathy.

He was shifted to AIIMS on Monday, the 14th, from a private hospital in Cuttack and was on ventilator support. His family's request for an airlift was denied by doctors due to his rapidly deteriorating condition and multiple organ failure.

Born on November 25, 1990, in Titilagarh, Balangir district, Human Sagar rose to fame after winning Tarang TV's reality show, 'Voice of Odisha,' in 2012. He quickly cemented his place in the hearts of the youth with his debut hit, 'Ishq Tu Hi Tu,' marking the beginning of a prolific career where he sang over 1000 songs across films and albums, including hits like 'Chiring Chiring' and 'Lage Prem Nazar.'

Human Sagar is survived by his wife and mother.

His death marks a huge loss for the Odia music industry.
