Anandpur, Keonjhar: Two college students were killed in a tragic hit-and-run road accident on National Highway 20 in front of Kanak Manjari Women's College in Shaalpada, Ghasipura police station area.
The deceased have been identified as first-year Kanak Manjari College student Deepanjali Sahu (from Belbahali) and Annapurna Patra (from Siyapada).
The incident occurred as the students were returning home after class. An unknown, speeding vehicle struck them near the college and fled the scene. They were rushed to Anandpur Medical College but were declared dead by doctors.
Following the tragic news, the road was briefly blocked by agitated locals. Police have arrived at the spot and launched an investigation to trace the vehicle and its driver.
